Project: Healthy Arrival
Project: Healthy Arrival is a powerful initiative dedicated to raising awareness about the alarming health disparities that disproportionately affect Black and Brown communities, particularly in maternal care. Our mission is clear: we strive for Michigan to achieve zero preventable deaths and eliminate inequities in medical treatment for birthing mothers, their partners, and families. Through advocacy, education, and community engagement, we aim to create a future where every mother and family receives the highest standard of care, regardless of race or socioeconomic background. Together, we are working to ensure that every birth is a healthy and safe arrival.

HEALTHY BIRTH SEMINAR
On August 17, we hosted a community-focused seminar titled "Walk It Out, Talk It Out" at the Considine Center in Detroit. This impactful event aimed to raise awareness about the disproportionate health disparities affecting Black and Brown communities, with a focus on maternal care. Attendees heard from a dynamic keynote speaker and participated in a moderated panel discussion that addressed critical issues surrounding healthcare equity. The event also included a diaper giveaway, which reinforced our commitment to supporting families directly.
